About Us

The Panthers baseball program is part of the athletic department at Parma High School, located in Parma, Idaho, which is in Canyon County, approximately 17 miles northwest of Caldwell. The Panthers compete in the 3A Western Idaho Conference against Marsing, Melba, Nampa Christian, New Plymouth, and Vision Charter in baseball. The team competed in the Snake River Valley Conference (SRV) through 2024 before moving to the WIC. The program fields a varsity and junior varsity team and supports a summer baseball program through the American Legion program. The community also fields youth and middle school teams through the city's PARK (Parma Area Recreation) department.

Learn More

Those are the basics. But there is so much more to being a part of our Parma baseball family ...

In the Classroom

Simply put, grades matter. The Parma School District has academic guidelines for participation in extra-curricular activities and the baseball program supports and adheres to those guidelines. These are clearly communicated each year. To participate on the field, players must take care of their academic commitments.

In the Community

We encourage our players and coaches to be active members of our community. In the past that has included such things as moving books for the Parma Library, helping to clean out storage buildings for supporters of our program, and helping to umpire or coach for other teams in the Parma area. If you have questions about community-engagement opportunities, please contact one of the coaches.

In the
Dugout

Fans see what happens on the field. They don't necessarily see what happens in the dugout, during games or during practices. Obviously, we encourage our players to be good teammates but we also allow them to have a voice, to ask questions, and help estsablish a positive "team" culture that can evolve during a season and change from year to year.

In the

Summer

Our summer programs are different primarily because there is no "school" component. However, that doesn't mean the commitment and communication should be any less. If a player signs up for a team, it is expected that he'll be at practices and  games. If he is unable to attend for any reason, the expectation is the player will actively communicate that directly with coaches.
