You've entrusted your children to us. Here are some important things to know, and there are ways you can help make their experience even better.
Your children are at the heart of what we do here. We work with them to help them become better baseball players and better people. We couldn't do what we do without them - and without you.
We strongly recommend downloading the GameChanger app on your phone (it is also available on your computer) and following the team. There, you'll find schedules, rosters, and text/communication features that are valuable tools for staying informed, connected, and up-to-date with the team. All team-critical information will be communicated directly to the players (bus times, practice/game changes, etc.) ahead of time.
Other places you can find updated information about the Parma High team are MaxPreps and IdahoSports.com. Our summer programs don't traditionally have a presence on either of those websites, however. You can also follow Parma baseball on Instagram for news, updates, and information about baseball in our community.
For PHS baseball, the team is required to travel to "away" games as a group on the bus. If a player misses the bus, he will not play in the game even if he drives or gets a ride with someone. Players may leave the field after the game with their parents, but the parents must sign the player out with the coach before leaving. During American Legion season, transportation to and from games is up to the Gaucho/Vaquero players but we can help coordinate rides for players who need them.
Volunteers are also critical to our success, especially in the summer with the Gauchos and Vaqueros. Whether it is field prep, concessions, admissions, updating the scoreboard, or something else, you can chip in to make the game-day experience better for everyone - including the players and coaches! We appreciate your willingness to contribute!
